Liam Neeson stars in his first comedic role in the fourth film in The Naked Gun franchise which starred the late Leslie Nielsen.
Written by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and director Akiva Schaffer, the movie serves as a legacy sequel for the original action-comedy films. Neeson stars as Frank Debrin, Jr., son of the late Lt. Frank Debrin, who is also part of the Police Squad.
He stars alongside Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, and Kevin Durand.

Based on the trailer, Debrin is out to crack the case involving the murder of Anderson’s character’s brother, using antics that are reminiscent of the original movies’ humor.
The Naked Gun opens in cinemas August 13.
