Liza Soberano voices one of the main characters in DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island, coming to cinemas September 23.
The Filipino actress who recently starred in Lisa Frankenstein now gets another major role in the animated movie that features Filipino culture alongside other personalities of Pinoy descent like Manny Jacinto, Jo Koy, H.E.R., and Pinoy icons Dolly De Leon and Broadway superstar Lea Salonga.

Forgotten Island is about the unbreakable bond between two friends Jo (H.E.R.) and Raissa (Soberano). As they prepare to take separate paths in their life, Jo and Raissa accidentally travel into the island of Nakali, a mysterious island populated by Filipino mythical creatures. As they look for a way home, they stumble upon weredog Raww (Dave Franco), and the most feared creature on the island, The Dreaded Manananggal (Salonga). When they discover that the memories of their entire friendship are the price for returning home, the two friends will race to find a way to leave the island with their memories intact.
The film’s all-star voice cast also include Jenny Slate and Ronny Chieng.
