Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum brought Oz to Singapore for the premiere of Wicked: For Good. Along with director Jon M. Chu, the cast lit up the yellow brick road to meet fans. Wicked: For Good is the final chapter of the untold stories of Elphaba and Glinda, the witches of Oz. The yellow carpet premiere was hosted by Filipino VJs Ai Dela Cruz and Markki Stroem.
Stars Darren Espanto and Andrea Brilliantes also got to walk down the yellow brick road, stunning in Wicked-themed outfits of pink and green. They then shared a special moment with Grande and Erivo as they posed together on the yellow carpet.
It was a dream come true for the two Filipino stars, who met Grande a decade ago. “Three years ago, I sat by myself in a theater watching my first-ever musical. Then I watched the movie, and it changed something in me,” Brilliantes shared on social media. A fan of the musical, Espanto wrote on his post, “Spent one short day in the Emerald City! We got to meet Glinda and Elphaba & watched a special advanced screening of Wicked: For Good!”
