Ghostface is back and he’s more dangerous than ever. Paramount Pictures has just dropped the first official trailer for Scream 7 and it teases the return of the iconic names in the genre.
Neve Campbell is back to reprise her role after being absent from Scream 6. Courtney Cox is also returning as Gale Weathers and after the brutal attack she experienced last time, she’s so ready to “unmask this fucker.”

The rest of the previously reported cast was not present in the trailer, like Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley, and David Arquette–characters who have all died in the past films. Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown are also returning and are joined by newcomers McKenna Grace, Isabel May, and Joel McHale.
Directed by Kevin Williamson, who wrote the script for three previous Scream movies, the new movie focuses on Sidney’s life as a family woman. Now married with a teenage daughter, Sidney has gotten used to people prank calling her which is why she didn’t pay much attention when Ghostface called.
The stakes are much higher this time with Sidney not only trying to stay alive, but also protecting her daughter from a bolder and more dangerous Ghostface.
The trailer reveals certain details that can make long-time fans squeal in delight. Sidney’s daughter is named Tatum, a tribute to her dead best friend and sister of Dewey, who died in the first movie. Also, the opening scene takes place at Stu Macher’s original house in Woodsboro, which was turned into an Airbnb.
Scream 7 opens in cinemas February 2026.
