The Walt Disney Company unveils impressive lineup of titles for 2025 and beyond

From the company that has brought us timeless classics that have endured across generations comes an impressive (and exciting) lineup of upcoming movies and shows that fans are sure to love. The Walt Disney Company recently announced its 2025-2026 theatrical and streaming slate at the 2024 Disney APAC Content Showcase held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

The roster includes highly anticipated releases and major titles from its award-winning creative studios Disney, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios. To make things more exciting, the company released previews and sneak peeks never before seen in APAC such as song previews from upcoming movies Mufasa: The Lion KingDisney’s Snow White and Moana 2; and first looks at Disney’s TRON: Ares, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2, Pixar’s Hoppers and Dream Productions; Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and much more.

Fans were also treated to appearances from the stars of Disney storytelling from Hollywood, Korea and Japan. The Disney Presents: A Night Of Stars fan event featured Anthony Mackie, star of Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World, the stars of upcoming Disney+ K-dramas Hyper Knife – Park Eunbin, Sul Kyunggu; Knock-Off – Kim Soohyun, Cho Boah; Light Shop – Ju Jihoon, Park BoyoungLow Life – Ryu Seungryong, Yang Sejong, Lim Soojung; Nine Puzzles – Kim Dami, Son Sukku and Unmasked – Kim Hyesoo, Jung Sungil, as well as the celebrated cast of Disney+ Japan’s hit drama series Gannibal – Yuya Yagira and Show Kasamatsu.

Mufasa: The Lion King (December 20, 2024)

Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick.

Snow White (March 21, 2025)

A live-action reimagining of the classic tale that stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.

Lilo & Stitch (May 23, 2025)

A live-action reimagining of the animated classic about a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps mend her broken family.

TRON: Ares (October 10, 2025)

Jared Leto stars in a movie about a highly sophisticated program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.

The Amateur (April 11, 2025)

A captivating story about a brilliant, but deeply introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack. When his supervisors refuse to take action, he takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a dangerous trek across the globe to track down those responsible.

Avatar: Fire and Ash (December 19, 2025)

A Real Pain (release date TBA)

Mismatched cousins, David and Benji, reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

Moana 2 (November 27, 2024)

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (December 3, 2024)

The new series on Disney+ follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.
